As we know, Amazon’s Blue Origin space launch program has been trying hard to compete with the Space companies like SpaceX, Virgin Galactic, etc. Blue Origin is one of the Space companies that was founded by Amazon’s CEO Jeff Bezos with the vision of finding the new material and energy resources that benefit the Earth. It is currently working on developing fully reusable rockets and boosters, low cost and serve civil, defense, and commercial purposes.
Jeff Bezos, the richest man on the Earth rocketed into space in his ‘New Shepard’ rocket of Blue Origin Space travel company on July 20, just a few days after the billionaire Richard’s ride into space. It launched off from the spaceport in the West Texas desert built by himself.
Civilian Into Space by Blue Origin Space Launch:
The liftoff happened at 18:439(IST) along with three other passengers picked up by Jeff. His brother Mark, Wally Funk, an 82-year-old aviation pioneer, and Oliver Daemen, an 18-year-old student from the Netherlands, who was in place of the auctioned winner but didn’t makeup at the last minute due to scheduled conflicts were on board with Bezos.
The rocket is named after America’s first astronaut Alan Shepard, and the launch date was chosen by Jeff to mark the significance of the 52nd anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. This ride has set records for carrying the youngest and oldest persons to fly into the sub-orbital space.
Eleven minutes later after reaching a height of more than 351,000 feet into the air and back, hit back to the launchpads safely and the crew was landed successfully on the ground with the help of parachutes. After the capsule’s landing, Bezos said, “Best day ever.” Blue Origin congratulated its Blue team in a Twitter post. Space experience for the common man will become possible soon.
