Enter the Facebook marketplace
Log in to Facebook, then you can notice a new ‘shop’ icon. If this is your first time seeing it, Facebook will automatically alert you. If it’s not then click on the icon.
- Add a photo
You will need to add photos. Facebook doesn’t charge money for adding multiple photos to listings. Make sure to add clear photos to provide the most information possible about the product.
- Add a title
Facebook then asks you to enter a title. Make sure your title isn’t too long, and it should clearly state your product. However, there is a 100-character limit.
- Add a description
Facebook will ask you to add a description. Include relevant information about the product, be it its condition, size, color, year of manufacturing, or more.
- Add a price
You need to choose the price you want to be mentioned for the product. Your selected price will be displayed in your local currency. Don’t worry this can be edited afterward.
- Add location and category
Now that all the details are provided, Facebook requires you to choose a location to advertise the product along with the category that it falls under i.e., the category that best describes it.
- Complete
If you followed the steps correctly, the product will be set to active, it will then be visible to other people or potential buyers. Facebook will navigate you to the product management area, where you can communicate with buyers. There you can edit your product.
