• Start your browser
• Open a Google Docs file
• Then change the font.
• Click the drop-down box, make sure the Style is set to “Normal Text,”.
• This refers to the main text style i.e., excluding titles or headings used throughout the created document.

Note– Certain formatting can be applied to the default font, for example, size, bold, underline, color, as well as a highlight color.

• Type a few words or lines in the font you want, then highlight them using your mouse.
• Navigate to Format > Paragraph Styles > Normal Text, then click on “Update ‘Normal Text’ to match.”
• Before you save the changes to Normal Text, you have the ability to change the default font for titles as well as headings.
• To do so, click on one of the options from the drop-down menu, then begin to enter the font you desire. Then, just like before, navigate to Format > Paragraph Styles > Title, then click “Update ‘Title’ to match.”

• If you want to reset the font back to the original defaults, navigate to Format > Paragraph Styles > Options, then click “Reset Styles” to revert the changes you had made in the previous step.
