- On the smartphone, open the Google Phone app.
- At the top, navigate to More options (the three dots) > Settings Call recording.
- Under “Always record,” you need to turn on Numbers, not in the contacts.

How to start a recording from a call?
The first time you are recording a call, you will be advised you are required to comply with local laws related to recording calls. Few jurisdictions require consent by all parties to record the call.
To protect the privacy of all users, as soon as you start recording, all the people on the call will be notified with a disclosure that the call is being recorded. After you stop recording, the people on the call are also notified with a disclosure that the call is no longer being recorded.
- To do so, open the Phone app.

- To record a call, on the ongoing call screen, you just need to tap on Record
