Twitter is a world-famous social media site that has taken the internet by storm. People post text, images, and videos to share with other followers all over the globe. Registered users can like or retweet posts from other people while unregistered visitors can only read them!

Twitter was created in 2006 as an American microblogging service where registered members could write short messages of up to 140 characters (known as “tweets”) which would be broadcasted to others on Twitter’s website. It became very popular after being introduced because it allowed anyone who wanted their information out there to have complete control over how they got their message across without having any third party interfere in what they had set forth; moreover, tweets are sent out instantly.
