It’s been almost six months since Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West. Despite the split, she doesn’t plan on dropping West from her name. The couple’s divorce was confirmed back in February following months of speculation. Kim reportedly made the decision for their family and is aware of how wonderful a father Kanye West has been to their four children, but she no longer felt he could be the spouse she required.
“It’s just so much more convenient to think about that,” she tells people. “That name has been with me for a few years now, and West was the last name of my ex-husband, so I definitely have a comfort level with it.”
Kim’s reason for not removing west from her name:
Kim also feels like going back to her maiden name would be confusing as well since people wouldn’t know what or who they are looking at when she goes by Kim Kardashian on social media. However, there is one downside: the moniker does get mispronounced quite frequently (some fans call her ‘Carkashian’). She says this happens all the time; even in meetings! But unfortunately, you can’t please everyone even if your name is Kim Kardashian.
It’s been reported that the 40-year-old is not planning to take on her legal name, Kim Kardashian. According to sources close to TMZ, she has no intention of changing her name from Kim Kardashian-West to Kim Kardashian. For the sake of her four children, Kim thinks it’s crucial to keep her married name.
Kayne, on the other hand, has different plans. The recent records have shown that Kanye West applied for a name change from Kanye to Ye at age 44. Kanye has been using the name Ye for quite some time, and he even titled his most recent record after it. Despite Kayne’s intention to get rid of his last name, there are presently no plans to alter North, Saint, Chicago, or Psalms’ names.
