Every time you call someone, your called ID gets displayed on the receiver’s end. Often, we wish to get rid of this feature due to several reasons and the fir and foremost one being someone else seeing your caller ID in a public scenario. You can easily get rid of this feature in easy steps on your iPhone.
- Go to the settings option from your home screen on your iPhone.
- You will see a list of options, scroll down and select ‘phone’.
- A ‘show my caller ID’ option will be displayed, and slide the bar to the left such that the green shading is turned off. This will disable your caller ID from being shown on the receiver’s end.
HOW TO ENABLE CALLER ID ON YOUR IPHONE?
For getting back this feature on, follow the same steps but in Step 4, slide the toggle option such that green shading is turned on.
Remember that with this method, you can disable and enable your Caller ID that is you can let other people see your number or not when they receive your call. If you have disabled this feature, your number will appear as being ‘private’ or ‘restricted’.
This feature will not work for any facetime calls or on messages app.
