How to update apps in IOS and Android?

Updating your iOS and Android apps is easy. You just need to know where to look, and this article will show you exactly how to update apps.  

Updating the apps on your iPhone/iPad is a quick as well as an easy way to gain new features, or to fix bugs and security issues in the apps. However, you might not know if the updates are available. OR. How to update your apps? Unless you know where to check. 

Before the release of iOS 13 in September 2019, updating apps was a straightforward process. All you’d need to do is just open the App Store, tap on the Updates tab, and pull down to refresh the list. Then tap on Update All. It’s how all iPhone users have followed since the launch of the App Store. This process can still be used if you have an older Apple device that isn’t compatible with anything later than iOS 12. 

Now, you won’t find the Updates tab when you go to update your iPhone apps in iOS 15. Apple has the Arcade gaming subscription service in its place, with the release of iOS 13.  

Where to find your hidden iPhone app updates? 

First, open the App Store.

Tap on your Profile icon.

Scroll down to the Available Updates section. Here you will be able to find any app updates that are ready to be installed. You can use pull-to-refresh to force the device to search for updates.

You have the ability to either update them individually or tap on the Update All button. 

How to update apps on Android? 

1. Open the Google Play Store app. 

2. At the top, tap on the profile icon. 

3. Tap on Manage apps & device. Apps that have an update available will be labeled as “Update available.” 

4. Tap on Update. 

How can you update all Android apps automatically? 

1. Open the Google Play Store app. 

2. At the top, tap on the profile icon. 

3. Tap on Settings, then tap on Network Preferences. Then select Auto-update apps. 

4. Select an option: 

• Over any network to update apps. This will allow the apps to update using either Wi-Fi or mobile data. 
• Over Wi-Fi only to update apps. Apps will only update when your phone is connected to Wi-Fi. 

Note: If there is a sign-in error for an account on your device, apps might not update automatically.
