Today morning, customers using Bank of America noticed a negative or possibly missing funds in their accounts. Multiple users reported their Zelle transactions are missing and also reported overdraft fees for insufficient funds.
If you are noticing additional funds on your Bank of America account do not get excited as transfers made from your Bank of America to a different bank using Zelle are not processed yet, even though the funds are available on the receiving end.
Finally, Bank of America mentions it in their app and says they are working on this issue and everything should be back to normal as soon as possible.
The official statement “Zelle Transactions made between January 14 and January 17 2023 may be delayed in occurring and posting to accounts as requested. Transfers will be completed and will appear in your account activity and balance as soon as possible. We apologize for any delay or inconvenience.“
Customers also reported that the customer service line is busy since morning and nobody is able to get a proper response on what’s happening with their accounts. There is no official statement released regarding this issue by BankofAmerica, but we hope this is a technical glitch and will be resolved soon.
