Samsung’s new flagship smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, as well as the S22 Ultra, are likely to be coming on Feb. 8. Korea’s Digital Daily claims that a Samsung official had confirmed the date. It also added that the company will likely start sending invitations for this event at the end of January (as per Engadget).
As per the outlet, the Galaxy S22 series phones will be available for pre-order right after the event. That is on Feb. 9. The sales will be starting on Feb. 24. The products will be showcased at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, it’ll begin on Feb. 28.
It has to be kept in mind that none of this has been officially confirmed on Samsung’s official communication channels. However, the rumored timing is consistent with Samsung’s previous Galaxy S series launches, as these typically happen either in January or in February.
As per rumors, Samsung’s Galaxy S22 phones are likely to be equipped with either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. OR. Samsung’s own Exynos 2200 chip.
Galaxy S22 Leaks confirmed:
Leaker Evan Blass had shared an image of the Galaxy S22 Ultra at the start of this month. If the image is accurate, then it will have more in common, design-wise, with the Galaxy Note series than the S series. With heavily rounded edges on the sides along with a flat top and bottom, also with support for Samsung’s S-Pen.
Samsung had recently launched the Galaxy S21 FE. It is a $699 smartphone that’s a slightly downgraded version of last year’s Galaxy S21. This will become available for purchase on Jan. 11.
