This month on Thursday Qualcomm announced its collaboration with Asus for making new premium mobile device “Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders,”. This premium mobile device comes with top-level features like the AMOLED display with 144Hz, 512GB internal storage capacity, and the 5G processing chip Snapdragon 888 SoC.
This premium mobile phone is preloaded with Android 11 and also comes with many advanced features developed by San Diego-based semiconductor developers. The best part is, it comes along with true wireless ear stereo buds(TWS).
Qualcomm always proved that it is the best Android chip maker among all other companies. Even the best mobile phone makers like Samsung, Google, OnePlus, etc., are using the chipsets made by Qualcomm.
Qualcomm and Asus Collaboration:
Now, Qualcomm decided to get into the spotlight and launched its first-ever mobile device. So, Qualcomm collaborated with Asus and announced its first premium mobile device called, “Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders”.
This Snapdragon branded smartphone costs $1,499 and comes in Midnight Blue. Makers of this device planning to hit the market from August through Asus online and retail channels. Initially, it is available in limited countries like Germany, Japan, India, Korea, the US, and Uk.
This device is not only for hardcore fans and Snapdragon Insider community members, it is also for all other customers who are looking for the premium experience and using the device at its limits.
When it comes to the other features this device comes with MW08SI active noise canceling TWS earbuds made by New York-based Master & Dynamic and in the box, you will get Qualcomm Quick Charge 5 charger (65W in global), two USB to Type-C braided cables, and strong back cover.
When it comes to specifications of smartphones, Snapdragon Insiders comes with 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,448 pixels) AMOLED display made by Samsung with Gorilla Glass protection. It has Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC chip with 16 GB RAM. The camera comes with a triple rear camera and Sony IMX686 primary sensor, 64-megapixel with f/1.8 lens, also 24-megapixel selfie camera at the front.
Considering all of these features and the fact that the screen can go up to 1200 nits of brightness but, the battery is only 4000 milli amp is a little disappointing and the phone will run on Android 11 but, Qualcomm has yet to confirm when and how long it plans to support updates. So, it is unclear how long we have to wait to update to Android 12 when the phone rolls out to the public. We can say that the smartphone for snapdragon insiders is a showcase of Qualcomm’s technology.
